About VMA
 The VMA was formed in June 2007. VMA stands for Virtual Mecenary Army originally known as Virtual Maori Army but this was changed in 2009. At the time we played Armed Assault 1 by Bohemia Interactive. We gradually grew in size conducting regular "squad Nights" that attracted members and players. We moved to Arma 2 as soon as it was released conducting many operations in a vary of theaters. When Red Orchestra 2 was released VMA immediately backed a 64 slot server. This server has proven very popular and a solid moderation team formed from VMA players has been put behind it. We are a bunch of "mature" gamers most in our mid to late 20s. Many of us have met in real life. We are based mainly in New Zealand however we have a number of members in other parts of the world like Australia and New Zealand. |
