Hey lads,

The next mission is in the works and thanks to the 30mm cannon job on the informant in Mission 3 we'll be doing a lot of snatch and grab jobs around Clafghan to try and get back to where we were supposed to be for Mission 5 re: the intel situation.

What does this mean?

It means lots of air mobile operations for the foreseeable future. If your teams have something in place for air and infantry maneuver and you wish to keep participating I suggest you get practicing so that mistakes are minimised on the night. Don't get the wrong idea, you don't have to do this to participate, but it will make it a lot easier on the night :thumbsup2:

For the ground pounders...

If you don't have anything I'm happy to send our training slides your way to get practicing. Alternatively, we're starting to run internal training and practice nights in prep for Mission 4 so if you want to jump in on those (being held on Tuesday + other random nights) just send me a message and we'll easily slot you in.

For the fly boys...

I've already heard back from OCB re: possibly volunteering a pilot. So if anyone has any members that are PROVEN pilots (they may have from 12-20 people on board so they cant be new guys), send their names my way. Anyone putting their hand up for the job will be invited to a small training night for the airy fairies to get used to each other and practice some basic dry runs in prep for the mission night.

I can't stress enough that if you provide a pilot they need to be someone you know can do the job - which may at some point mean orbiting an area for a good half hour doing nothing but looking at the scenery.

What do I want?

If any of you are interested in participating in Mission 4 I'd like to hear back ASAP. Last mission we had people turning up at the last minute, slot clashes and all kinds of player troubles that delayed us about 40 minutes from planned start time. If you want your team to play, you need to let me know now so I can at least plan on you maybe being there, rather than having no idea.

I have the TF86Addon. But I STILL cannot get Acre to work. The Jayarma2lib thing is driving me nuts.Did a reinstall of acre, redownloaded JayArma2lib, redownloaded the .dlls for it. Tried with the beta patch, tried without. Same thing.

You should see how many pages for this error there are on google. Dozens and dozens. Most people still cant get working and those with a fix, didnt work for me.

BTW I also tried six updater version, Armaholic version, Armaholic hotfix version and manual download version.

Same error.

Oh yeah and I tried running it without Jayarma2lib - same error. Fun.

Just reinstall windows and arma and ace and acre and it should work - if you start now it will be all done in time.

I've been trying for two days. Also tried every single method that people have suggested on pretty much all the google links for 2 pages. I'm done.

I much prefer Arma, just ACRE is causing so much grief for me.Battlefield is far too frantic, fun for blowing shit up but, its an fps game, not a war game :)

10pm start time is kind of lame for us NZers. I might play but by the time it kicks off it'll be bed time! :-p

That and I am still in two minds whether to install that virus ACRE on my machine.

Just wait for about 10 years when you have kids, you will then know how unrealistic that statement is...

^^ This, totally this. Also getting up for work in the morning as an addition.

I'm annoyed at Acre, because I WANT to play this mission, I'd be happy to jsut be heli transport, but Acre.... sigh. Why wont you just work dammit.

Yeah the mission start time of 8pm Australian time vs 10pm NZ time. Mission actually doesn't go over 2 hrs there aren't many objectives and you don't have ammo creates at start. All your kits is on you. Just tune your radios and go to first waypoint. All logistics is handled by HQ, insertion and extractions etc. Revive is on so if you die you rarely go back to base.

Nothing that can run arma and fuck reinstalling arma on another pc even if I did
Not going to spend 5 hours redownloading/installing everything just to have it not work again
