hose Étendards, Mirages and Skyhawks got wasted by Sea Harriers back in '82, with the BVR loadout of the four Eurofighters in the region, there won't even be a battle for air supremacy this time round. And with Astute putting Spearfish into Argie shipping with nothing to stop it, I don't see how it would be logistically possible to land troops in the islands.
So why is Argentina posturing like this? Making formal complaints to the UN about increased British military presence and banning ships flying the flag of the Falklands from its ports. It's usually a ploy by the Argentine government to divert attention from real issues, but they seem quite serious about it this time. Hopefully, Cameron won't acquiesce, do a U-Turn and relinquish sovereignty to the Argies...
